Starter: a clearer weekly rhythm
Starter is for getting online fast. Live projects stay up when you open them from the dashboard now and then.
That rhythm is now explicit: if a live Starter project sits idle for a week, it can pause to free resources. You get an email beforehand, and a countdown on the project overview once you're in the warning window.
Open the dashboard once a week and the site stays live. No mystery timer buried in the docs.
Solo: keep your site online without check-ins
Want the site up without weekly visits? Solo is the direct upgrade. Emails and the dashboard say so when it matters, after your first deploy goes live, and when a Starter project is nearing a pause.

- Dashboard banner, owners get a direct path to Solo and plan comparison during the Starter warning window
More resilient hosting
Runner hosts are better at bringing live deployments back after maintenance or a host reboot. Your public URL stays the same; you usually shouldn't need to redeploy by hand after routine infrastructure work.
