Common questions about sharing controls
Open your project, go to Settings, and scroll to Sharing controls. It is available on all upload projects (Website Viewer and File Upload). Git-connected projects use deploy settings instead.
Look-only turns off all five permissions at once: downloads, copying text, printing, the right-click menu, and text highlighting. You can still turn individual options back on after enabling look-only.
Yes. On Website Viewer projects, rules apply in the built-in Bopbee viewer for PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, images, and similar previews. On File Upload projects, the viewer follows the same rules; simple HTML pages get extra protection after redeploy.
No. Sharing controls limit what visitors can do on the page (comfort settings, not full DRM). Password protection (Access Protection on Solo and up) blocks everyone without the password. Many teams use both: password for access, sharing controls for look-only viewing.
Skilled users can sometimes work around browser limits. Sharing controls raise the bar for casual saving and copying. For stronger access control, add password protection and share the password separately from the link.
Sharing controls are included on all plans for upload projects. Password protection, custom domains, and QR codes may require Solo or higher depending on the feature.
